RC445 BR(SR) Crab 20T Ballast Wagon Kit
This kit is designed to make a model of the BR (Southern) Dia 1/570 20T Ballast Wagon after they had been rebuilt into Crabs. A useful article was published in the December 1984 edition of the Model Railway Constructor by Paul Bartlett and Trevor Mann. We have included a coupler mounting block for Bachmann 36027 Mk2 couplings NEM shaft (cranked) with pocket.
Rebuilt 1983 DB991000 -20 and DB991301-20 fitted unfitted series. Many were fitted with roller bearings.
The kit requires standard wagon wheels on 26mm axles, bearings, couplers, paint & transfers to complete.
Includes cast whitemetal buffers & Vac cylinder, etch coupler hook and buffer shrouds.
