RC444 BR (SR) Dia 1/570 20T Redoored Lamprey Ballast Wagon Kit
This kit is designed to make a model of the BR (Southern) Dia 1/570 20T Ballast Wagon after they had the doors replaced. A useful article was published in the December 1984 edition of the Model Railway Constructor by Paul Bartlett and Trevor Mann. We have included a coupler mounting block for Bachmann 36027 Mk2 couplings NEM shaft (cranked) with pocket.
Rebuilt 1979 from the DB991141-300 unfitted series. Some were fitted with vacuum brakes and a different form of brake levers. Specimin numbers for unfitted examples are DB991158, DB991185 & DB991192.
The kit requires standard wagon wheels on 26mm axles, bearings, couplers, paint & transfers to complete. Includes cast whitemetal buffers & Vac cylinder, etch coupler hook and buffer shrouds.
